The 2017 Disability Rights Day (DRD) was held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge and attended by over 400 LaCAN members from around the state. Members joined together to visit with legislators and participate in a rally on the Capitol steps to raise awareness of the importance of funding supports and services people with developmental disabilities need to live in their own homes and be productive members of their communities.
