The Council believes that people with developmental disabilities have the right to live healthy lives and to benefit from the full range of needed health services.

Current Initiatives
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS – PREVENTING SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
The Council is sponsoring trainings across the state for adult self-advocates and their family members or caregivers to increase their understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationships and the issues that lead to and ways to prevent sexual abuse and exploitation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
