Transportation

The Council believes that people with developmental disabilities should have access to a full range of transportation options to get to work and school and to meet their personal and medical needs.

PAST INITIATIVES

Transportation Louisiana
Transportation Louisiana is a collaborative effort between The Arc of Louisiana and the LA DD Council. Transportation and the coordination of it takes the mutual effort of human service agencies, transportation providers, workforce development agencies, the public, and others, to best serve people with the limited resources. Transportation Louisiana provides information about transportation to providers statewide for individuals with disabilities. The goal of Transportation Louisiana is to improve access to transportation through the provision of the most current information regarding coordinated transportation efforts in each region of the state.
