The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council is teaming up with other organizations to offer free trainings for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, and advocates. These trainings will help you learn important skills and information to better support yourself or someone you care about.
Here’s what you can learn:
- Transition to Adulthood – This training helps young people with disabilities and their families get ready for adult life. There are two sessions to choose from, and you can pick one or both when you sign up.
- Action Against Abuse – Learn how to spot, stop, and report abuse and neglect. This training helps keep people safe.
- Navigating the System – Find out how to get services for people with I/DD and behavioral health needs. Learn how to make these services work better for you and others.
All trainings are free, but space may be limited. Be sure to register early! Click the links under each training to view the flyer or sign up.
