This Act 378 state-funded Supported Living Program (contracted through Northwest Louisiana INCS) provided all necessary person-centered supports to ensure that seven adults with severe disabilities whose disability was manifested after the age of 22 but prior to the age of 55 remain in their own homes in the community. Without these supports the individuals would be at imminent risk of being admitted to a nursing home. Through a memorandum of understanding with the Council, the Office of Aging and Adult Services began oversight of this program in 2010. The Arc of LA now holds the contract for the provision of these services.
