The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council is working with Team Dynamics to offer free workshops around the state. These workshops are for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, caregivers, and community partners.
At the workshop, you will learn:
- What abuse and neglect are
- Signs that someone may be hurting you or not treating you right
- How to speak up for yourself
- Who to tell if something feels wrong
- What steps to take to get help
The training will include simple activities, group talks, and practice exercises. These will help you feel more confident and ready to take action if needed. The goal is to help people with IDD and their support teams stay safe and support each other.
