Your regional LaCAN Community Input meetings have been scheduled! Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to receive valuable information about LaCAN’s accomplishments this past legislative session and have your voice heard by sharing your ideas and recommendations for the Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council’s 2027 advocacy agenda.

Every October, the Council determines its legislative advocacy agenda, and your feedback is an important part of the process. Let your voice be heard by participating in your regional LaCAN membership and community input meetings. Each regional LaCAN leader is hosting meetings to:

• Share what happened during the 2026 Legislative Session,
• Meet with fellow advocates and LaCAN members, and
• Receive your input on issues to be considered by the Council for its 2027 Legislative Advocacy Agenda.

These meetings are free to attend and open to all. Individuals with developmental disabilities, their family members, disability advocates and all groups and organizations that support individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
