The Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is a group of people who use Medicaid and want to share their experiences. The Council gives ideas to help make Medicaid better. Members talk about what is working well and what needs to be improved. Medicaid leaders also listen, ask questions, and learn from the group.
The Council talks about things like:
- What services Medicaid pays for and how good those services are
- How easy it is to get care
- How doctors and providers work together
- How Medicaid shares information, like how to sign up or renew coverage
- Making sure care is respectful of people’s cultures and languages
The next BAC meeting will be Tuesday, October 14 at 1:00 PM.
The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council encourages everyone to join and share their ideas on how Medicaid can better support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
You can join the meeting by Zoom Link or by phone at (404) 201-2656.
