The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council has partnered with the LSU Human Development Center to conduct Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) trainings with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for social workers, foster/ adoptive parents and community partners.
Attendees will:
- Understand the brain differences in FASD,
- Explore practices in the field to support prevention, policy, awareness, and family support for FASD, and
- Understand best practices and supports for the home, school, and community environment for those affected by FASD.
The next two trainings will be held in Alexandria. More information about the training can be found in the flyer below. Click HERE to register for this free training. Community partners interested in attending the trainings who are not employed by DCFS will need to create a Moodle account before registering.
