The Parent & Family Engagement Task Force was created by the Louisiana Legislature in 2024 (HR239). The Task Force and the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) are working together to find ways to help students do better in school by improving how parents and families are involved in their child’s education.
The Developmental Disabilities Council encourages everyone—especially families of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities—to join these public meetings and share their ideas. Your input can help make Louisiana’s education system stronger and more inclusive.
