The Council is looking for people who have developmental disabilities or parents of young children with developmental disabilities to join its 2026 Partners in Policymaking class. This is a free training program that teaches you about important issues affecting people with disabilities. It also helps you learn how to speak up and make changes in laws and policies.

Partners in Policy Program Overview

  • Do you have a young child with a developmental disability, or do you have a developmental disability yourself?
  • Do you want to learn about the latest issues for people with disabilities and how to help change rules that affect them?
  • Can you join six weekend training sessions, one each month from January to June 2026, to learn from experts?

If you said yes, please click HERE to apply for the 2026 Partners in Policymaking class in Louisiana!

You will learn how to use your voice and story to help make good changes for people with developmental disabilities. It’s free to participate, but there are only a few spots. Apply by Monday, September 30, 2025.
