The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council is working with different organizations to offer free trainings for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, and advocates.
The trainings include:
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) – This training will help you learn how to prevent FASD and support individuals and their families at home, in school, and in the community.
- Transition to Adulthood – This training will help you get the support and resources you need as you become an adult. There are two different topics to choose from. When you sign up, select the session(s) you want to attend.
- Action Against Abuse – This training will help you learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse and neglect.
- Navigating the System – This training will give you information about services for people with I/DD and behavioral health needs. You will learn how to get these services and how to help them better.
These trainings are free, but spots may fill up fast. Click the link under each training to register.
