The Medicaid Advisory Committee is part of the Louisiana Department of Health. Its job is to help make sure people with Medicaid in Louisiana can get good healthcare that meets their needs. The Committee works to:
- Create a fair and honest way to check how well Louisiana Medicaid is working.
- Use the knowledge and experience of members to suggest ways to make Medicaid better and save money.
- Share their ideas with people who get Medicaid, doctors, and leaders who make the rules.
- Make smaller groups to work on special healthcare topics when needed.
The DD Council encourages all stakeholders to participate in these public meetings to share their thoughts and ideas on how Medicaid in Louisiana can help better support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Information about the next meeting can be found below.
