Self-Direction Handbook Review & Feedback

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) is sharing a new draft of the Self-Direction Handbook so people can read it and give feedback.

A group called the Self-Direction Advisory Group worked with LDH for over a year to make the handbook easier to understand and use. The updates are meant to better help people in Self-Direction, their families, employers, Support Coordinators, and Local Governing Entities (LGEs).

OCDD is asking Self-Direction Employers, Support Coordination Agencies (SCAs), LGEs, and anyone else who is interested to review the handbook and share their thoughts. The draft handbook will be open for review until June 12, 2026.
