The University of Louisiana Monroe’s (ULM) Gerontology Education Research Outreach (GERO) Institute will hold its 8
the Annual Conference on Disability Advocacy on Wednesday, October 22, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Demystifying Developmental Disabilities.” The goal is to help people better understand developmental disabilities and learn ways to support and advocate for those who have them.
The event will be online through Zoom and is approved for two nursing CEUs (continuing education units).
Bethany Winfield, RN, BSN, will be the keynote speaker. She will share her experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
